Radio Capital launched commercially

Radio Capital 94.8 FM, a media outlet of East West Media Group Limited (EMWGL), was launched commercially on Monday.

East West Media Group Limited is a concern of the country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group.

Cutting a large cake, Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir inaugurated the commercial launching of the radio at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital.

In his brief speech, he wished the Radio Capital a good journey so that it can go ahead with its operation in the befitting manner.

Radio Capital 94.8 FM CEO Naem Nizam said “We are grateful on this happy occasion of formal inauguration of this radio. We had a dream to launch a radio and this dream has come true.”

All the print and electronic media of the Bashundhara Group are in leading positions. I hope that this radio will also lead the sector.

He especially thanked the Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir for taking a great venture to launch the radio.

He also said, “We will go ahead with the spirit of liberation war.”

Speaking on the occasion, daily Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milon said “I hope this radio will get its top position in the field of radio.”

He said the journey of Radio Capital will be a journey for victory.

Daily Sun Acting Editor Amir Hossain, Bashundhara Group Media Advisor Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Kaler Kantho Executive Editor Mostofa Kamal, Daily Sun Executive Editor Shiabur Rahman were present at the event.

Eminent personalities and artists along with various high officials of different sectors of Bashundhara Group were also present at the inaugural programme.

The audiences started listening the programmes of this radio from November 2016. The programmes are being broadcast from its office at Bashundhara residential area in the capital. The link of the radio is: The theme of the radio will be ‘Song and Fun.’
