Bashundhara Group has signed an agreement with Nippon of Japan, one of the largest paper mills in the world, which will increase newsprint production in the country by 200 thousand tonnes a year. According to the agreement, two new machines will be installed at Bashundhara Paper Mills with each machine producing 500 tonnes paper a day. Bashundhara Dredging Company Limited, a concern of the Bashundhara Group, has joined hands with world famous M/S Japaul Oil and Maritime Services PLC for capital dredging of rivers and estuaries.   Bashundhara Foundation disbursed on Wednesday interest-free microcredit to the tune of Tk. 2.3 million among 340 people, including 100 new members of it at a function at Banchharampur in Brahmanbaria.
