
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed Thursday between East West Property Development Private Limited (EWPD) of Bashundhara Group and Bangladesh Police Officers Multipurpose Cooperative Society (BPOMCS) for exchange of mutual interests.
Bashundhara Group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan on behalf of the BG and General Secretary of the police Cooperative society joint police commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Shahabuddin Qureshi and Organizing Secretary and commander of Airport Armed Police Battalion Hasan-ul-Hayder, among others, on behalf of the organization signed the MoU at a simple ceremony at police the headquarters.
Addressing the programme, the BG Chairman, Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, expressed the hope that a long-term relation between Bashundhara Group and police officers’ cooperative society project would be established through the accord.
Terming the police project on housing a neighbour of Bashundhara Group, he said, “I hope that we would maintain good relationship with each other after the agreement.”
The BG chairman assured extending all cooperation to the housing project of police.
BPOMCS president and Additional Inspector-General of Police AKM Shahidul Haque said, “Bashundhara Group was always cooperative and sincere about the first-ever housing project of the cooperative society.”
Addressing the programmme Daily Sun Editor Professor Dr Syed Anwar Husain said, ”We have to go forward avoiding disagreements through mutual understanding.”
The agreement made between BG and police may be an exemplary move in this aspect, he added
