A daylong winter camp, meant for disabled children, has started in front of Bashundhara Eye Hospital in the city’s Bashundhara residential area this morning.
The event styled “Bashundhara Winter Camp 2015 for Nation Child” organised by country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group is scheduled to continue till afternoon.
Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and its Director Yeasha Sobhan inagurated the programme at 11:30am at block-I of the area.
Among others, BDG Chairman Mustafa Kamal Mohiuddin, its Vice Chairman Dilara Mostafa and Managing Director Mustafa Azad Mohiuddin and high officials of the Bashundhara Group were present on the occasion.
The function is being held with assiatnce of Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd and SWID Bangladesh.
Around 200 disabled children have participated in the programme which includes race, drawing, surf ball throwing and cultural events.
Besides, website of Bashundhara Nation Child Foundation, an organisation working for the welfare of the disabled children, was launched today.
